Intranets
An intranet is a private website developed for use within a company. For medium to large organisations an intranet provides a means to centralise information and allow communication between staff members. For example, a system might hold price and stock information where many staff members may sell products. The system would ensure that prices are accurate, stock levels are known, and that customer records are universally accessibly.
