I am a developer and have 6 apps on AppUp so far. I agree to most of the things you have mentioned here. I have also make my suggestions and feedback known to Intel.

I am also confused with their Atom store line myself. I think either they should not allow AppUp to run on non Atom processors or should allow it to run properly on all Intel processors and stop calling it an Atom store.

This confusion continues when you start to wonder why something which runs on Win XP and Windows 7 won’t run on Vista? Official reason given is because no netbook ever shipped with Vista. All I want to know why deliberately stop AppUp from running on Vista? You are not stopping it to run on Non-Atom processors which is good as you get more target consumers.

Why not allow AppUp to run on all the windows OS on all the processors and just call it a desktop store???

I really want AppUp to succeed, as it can give opportunities to even small companies with a bid idea for desktop app.

Hey nice post BTW and notice that I use the same WP theme on my blog, do check it out and if possible please give our apps on AppUp a try.

web-site, appup, sdk has alot of bugs could be fixed in a few days but not fixed for months. It looks like Intel has more communities than engeneers worked on AppUp

Update: The more complex registration process for the Adobe SDK is deliberate for licensing reasons I assume.
